Certification

Academy offers certification to ensure that the persons working with Ortelius’ concepts and solutions are skilled and knowledgeable in their profession. Certificates are issued based on individual knowledge and proven skills. A certificate is valid for a limited time period in order to ensure that the level of knowledge and skills required are maintained.

For first-timers it is required to have gone through all courses that are included in one Track (program), either as separate courses or as a program. To renew a certificate it is required that the applicant has taken part in the update sessions online and have passed the test.    

 

 

Some of the roles that this certification is suitable for are Business Information Modeler, Information Content Modeler, Content Manager and Information Manager.

 

Requirements:

  • Understand how to make a simple model and populate it with content
  • Understand the different alternatives to fill a model with content

 

Prerequisites: The courses that make up the Content Modeling Track (ICON)

 

Examination: Written exam with multiple choice and essay questions. Exercises from the ICON track passed. 

Some of the roles that this certification is suitable for are Business Structure Modeler, Information Structure Modeler and Structure Manager.

 

Requirements:

  • Able to reflect a business in a structured information model regardless of context
  • Can navigate and understand a model and be able to foresee the impact of a change in the structure
  • Able to define the different roles in an information governance process

 

Prerequisites: The courses that make up the Core Modeling Track (ICOR)

 

Examination: Written exam with multiple choice and essay questions. Exercises from the ICOR track passed. Case worked on and presented as a model in inorigo® Manager. 

Some of the roles that this certification is suitable for are Interaction Modeler, Performance Manager and Business Intelligence Analyst. 

 

Requirements:

  • Take content from an existing information model into Verso views that visualize certain areas with the help of charts and other tools
  • Able to write methods that make statistical calculations
  • Can understand any information model by navigating through the information model in inorigo®

 

Prerequisites: The courses that make up the Interaction Track (INAC)

 

Examination: Written exam with multiple choice and essay questions. Exercises from the INAC track passed. Case worked on and presented in an inorigo® Verso view.

Some of the roles that this certification is suitable for are System Integrator and Data Manager. 

 

Requirements:

  • Able to make xml exports and Excel exports and imports
  • Can understand any information model by navigating through the information model in inorigo®
  • Understands the different integration options and can give advice on which solution that is preferable with regards to performance and maintenance 

 

Prerequisites: The courses that make up the Integration Track (INSY)

 

Examination: Written exam with multiple choice and essay questions. Exercises from the INSY track passed. Case worked on and presented in inorigo® Manager. 

This certification is targeted towards application consultant and ensures that individuals are sufficiently trained the proprietary inorigo® development platform, primarily consisting of the configuration language and the web services architecture. 

 

Requirements:

  • Understands the system architecture including server, database and network
  • Understands the hardware environment and special aspects to pay attention to when running in a virtualized environment
  • Understands performance aspects and the different optimization possibilities
  • Able to install the software and setup the database

 

Prerequisites: Available on request

 

Examination: Written exam with multiple choice and essay questions. Exercises passed.
