Ortelius continues to grow, continuing the journey towards wider internationalization with the recruitment of Peter Nilsson, in the role of Strategic Advisor of Digital Transformation. Peter has previously held several executive roles within IT in global organizations. Recently, as CIO of Ascensia Diabetes Care in Basel, and as Head of IT Strategy & Planning at Panasonic Health Care in Tokyo, Peter has been instrumental in driving global digital transformation. Peter also had roles as CIO at Sony Mobile and Functional head of Global Applications Development at Sony Groups global Applications Development team based out of Tokyo.

With his combined experience within IT, and leadership, coupled with Digital Transformation in global organizations, he will reinforce our current offering and support us in the further enhancement of our market approach as we get ready for increased internationalization – says Ulf Jensen, CEO of Ortelius.

Joining Ortelius is a very exciting step for me. I have had the pleasure of being a customer to Ortelius in my previous roles, and joining Ortelius’ offering to businesses going through the digitalization process is something I really look forward to. I have experience working with Ortelius’ world leading modelers and now I am looking forward to being part of their progress as a front runner in creating a real Digital Twin of an Organization. From my perspective, one of the key challenges for any IT Organization is to manage and support business functions demands for rapid development of digital capabilities and at the same time support traditional application areas. These two areas require different kinds of decisions, governance, and maintenance and have very different life cycles. The traditional application areas and the new, fast, innovative and customer centric capabilities need to co-exist and here I think the Digital Twin of an Organization will make a tremendous difference – says Peter Nilsson. 

In his role as Strategic Advisor, Peter will be an important asset for the Ortelius Customer Success Organization and will be a key player in further developing Ortelius offering.
