We would love to work with you.
What would it take to make you love working with us?
Who are we
We’ve actually been in business since 1999. Early on, we recognized that organizational effectiveness will go digital, and developed a platform, Inorigo®, a tool for digitizing and connecting a company’s collective intelligence. Today, our clients include many of Sweden’s largest companies and a few international giants. We are quickly growing and have recently even added a brand-new floor to our office.
Inorigo is what we call a DTO platform (Digital Twin of an Organization). The core of that platform is a unique database system designed by Ortelius to express scalable, deeply interconnected information models that other database systems cannot.
Today Ortelius houses two different development teams. You will be joining the application and services development team. The team currently consists of four people and is looking to grow in 2020. The application and services development team works primarily with developing both generic and tailored software applications for Ortelius’ customers, all built on the Inorigo platform. It is a team that really honors true team spirit, a considerate environment where knowledge sharing is key to success, and where all members look out for each other.
What you can expect
Every day is different from the next. We do everything from creating simple prototypes in our low-code application builder to creating robust, modern web applications with massive databases in the backend. Some solutions are generic, others are tailored. Some are services, others are applications. A common thread is complex data structures, and generic thinking.
We don’t really work in silos, which means that you will get to work on both integrations and services in NodeJS, frontend development in React, as well as building generic web components and other tools that are reused across projects. You will also get to work closely with the Inorigo platform development team, to collaborate and express future needs for the platform. Finally, you will help in coaching your junior colleagues, and make them be the best that they can be!
Right now, the application and services development team is on the verge of taking its first step towards open source. We are super excited to start sharing our components and services with the world. Maybe you want to help us get started?
Who you are
You love what you do. You have an explorative personality and are always open to others’ ideas. You love both learning and teaching and have a strong team spirit. And perhaps most important of all, you can explain complex technical concepts and challenges even to a five-year-old.
As a developer you:
- Have at least 4 years of experience with fullstack development
- Have previously worked with some kind of modern frontend framework
The technologies we use in our stack most often are:
- SQL Server
- Web Components
- Webpack/Babel build environments
It is also meriting if you are familiar with any of the following:
- SCRUM methodology
We would love to hear from you! Tell us about what you’ve done in the past, and your thoughts for the future. If you have a Github account, then do feel free to send us a link to that as well! We look forward to hearing from you! We will be inviting candidates on an ongoing basis until we believe there’s a right match.
